After a journey of around 5,000 nautical miles and her first transatlantic passage, Energy Observer has arrived in the Caribbean, docking in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
Aboard the boat for just over a month, the crew set sail from Saint-Malo in France prior to the lockdown measures and subsequently learned they were unable to relieve some of the members in the Canaries as planned, with transfers being blocked for health reasons.
Energy Observer’s crew adhered to all the necessary guidelines to guarantee its safety and as the ocean remains a sterile environment, crew members can be repatriated to metropolitan France promptly and get back to their next of kin and a less marine confinement.
