Enapter has received its largest single order of electrolyser systems in Europe, agreeing to supply Renco SpA with 4MW of AEM Nexus solutions.
The electrolysers are expected to be implemented into a Hydrogen Valley project in the Marche region of eastern Italy, where one of the 52 state-funded hubs is being developed. This site will include a hydrogen production plant using renewable energies and a hydrogen refuelling station.
In addition to the four electrolysers, Enapter will supply a further 1MW electrolyser to Italian company FMC s.r.l, which will use the AEM Nexus to develop a hydrogen production plant in Avellino to serve industrial uses.
H2 View understands the two contracts have a total order value in the upper seven-figure euro range.
Enapter is expected to deliver the products next year (2025).
The electrolyser OEM has now secured contracts with a total volume of up to 11.5MW from customers taking part in the Italian Government’s subsidised Hydrogen Valley initiative.

In July, Enapter announced it had secured an order for 2.5MW of its Nexus multicore system, which is set to be installed at Cogne Acciali Speciali’s long stainless steel and nickel alloy products plant in the Aosta Valley, part of the Hydrogen Valley project.
