EMT Palma introduces hydrogen buses

Palma de Mallorca’s Municipal Transport Company (EMT) has unveiled three hydrogen buses at a presentation in the Town Hall Square.

Five 12-metre green hydrogen buses manufactured by Solaris will join EMT’s fleet for around €4.8m ($5.1m) and be used on various routes from next week.

EMT will be the first customer of the green hydrogen plant in Lloseta, which is the ‘first’ industrial renewable hydrogen plant in Spain and is part of the Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca project led by Enagás Renovable and ACCIONA Energía.
