The European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) has received £500,000 ($620,512) in funding for four feasibility projects supporting green hydrogen innovation and development.
EMEC was awarded the funding through the Scottish Government’s Hydrogen Innovation Scheme, which will see 32 Scottish projects receive funding of £7m ($8.6m) to drive hydrogen innovation, storage and distribution.
EMEC is part of a four-project consortia which will explore technology concepts which support offshore and off-grid hydrogen production, sea water electrolysis and an artificial intelligence model to support hydrogen logistics.
