In an effort to support the testing of hydrogen industry applications, Element Materials Technology has revealed it has expanded its cryogenic testing capabilities in Milan, Italy to determine the mechanical properties of materials under cryogenic conditions.
Element has said the expansion features new fatigue testing frames at its Milan laboratory which will include a specialised gas control system which will support the growth in demand from existing energy and aerospace clients.
According to Element the optimised equipment and gas control systems will allow significant cost reduction.
