EET Hydrogen has entered into final negotiations with the UK Government’s Department of Energy Security and Net Zero for its 350MW hydrogen plant.
Located in Ellesmere, the UK, the HPP1 low-carbon hydrogen plant is expected to begin construction later this year (2024), boasting an initial production capacity of 350MW.
Capturing 600,000 tonnes of CO2 a year, the facility will support not only the UK hydrogen industry, but the HyNet Cluster too and EET’s own goal of reaching 4GW of low-carbon hydrogen by 2030. The hydrogen produced will be supplied to industrial businesses in the UK’s north west.
