Ecojet to integrate ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric engines into aircraft fleet

Ecojet will purchase 22 ZA2000 hydrogen-electric engines from ZeroAvia, with an option for a further 40 engines.

The Edinburgh, Scotland-based company, Ecojet, was the “world’s first” electric commercial airline, and now aims to become the first fully electric commercial carrier enabling carbon-free living.

The airline plans to launch services later this year, with conventionally powered aircraft operating on routes to and from Edinburgh and retrofitting them once the technology is certified.
