Ecoclean commissions alkaline electrolyser for the first time

Ecoclean has successfully commissioned an EcoLyzer electrolyser into operation in Germany that can range between 1-20MW capacities.

The ZSW Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg used the P200 system with an output of 1MW to produce around 200 Nm3/hr of hydrogen.

The EcoLyzers are based on system technology for alkaline pressure electrolysis and have been developed and optimised with ZSW over the past decade. H2 View understands the process does not require precious metals or rare earths.

Series production for the electrolysis system began in January. In the first stage, production is designed for a system output of 200MW per year and could be doubled depending on market developments.
