Fokker Next Gen will develop an aircraft designed to run on both liquid hydrogen combustion (LH2) and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), featuring a dual fuel design.
The airplane is expected to enter into service in 2035 and will be capable of running traditional jet fuel too, if the alternative fuel types are not available.
Boasting a capacity of 120 to 150 passengers, the aircraft will have a flight range of 2,590kms. A statement released by Fokker Next Gen said it will “seamlessly fit into current airline operations against comparable cost (CASK).”
