The US Department of Energy (DOE) has said it will fund 31 next-generation clean hydrogen technologies with $52.5m to reduce costs and accelerate breakthroughs in the sector.
Announcing the move on Wednesday (July 7), DOE said its efforts will support its Hydrogen Energy Earthshot initiative through which it wants to slash the cost of clean hydrogen by 80% to $1 per kilogram.
