DHL to deliver major drinks brands with Nikola hydrogen trucks

DHL Supply Chain and the drinks firm behind Smirnoff, Captain Morgan and more in North America, have announced plans to use two Nikola hydrogen trucks in their US fleet.

The global logistics firm will use the Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell trucks to deliver Diago North America goods from Diago’s Plainfield campus in Illinois, using a Nikola HYLA modular refueller at the site.

Although few details have been revealed on the routes the hydrogen trucks might take, the companies believe the introduction of the tucks comes as a key step in cleaning up their logistics.
