Deutsche Telekom is trialling hydrogen technologies for the carbon-neutral powering of its mobile sites in a mission to slash its emissions.
The telecommunications firm today (Feb 21) confirmed the clean energy shift, having partnered with GenCell on the joint lab testing of a hydrogen-based backup solution.
Dubbed GenCell BOX™, the solution was tested at GenCell’s Tel Aviv facility under the supervision of Deutsche Telekom to showcase the capabilities of hydrogen technologies within the telecoms sector.
