Deutsche Bahn will have hydrogen-powered trains to replace its fleet of 1,300 diesel locomotives by 2050.
That’s the goal unveiled in 2020 under the H2goesRail project which looks to pioneer clean transportation.
Today (Jan 6), however, an update on this landmark project was announced, with Green Hydrogen Systems confirming that it will supply electrolysis equipment for H2goesRail.
In a social media post, the firm said it its GHS HyProvide® A90 electrolyser, with a capacity of 0.5MW, will produce hydrogen to fuel the Siemens train which will run under the project.
