Derby, UK is well-placed to be a national frontrunner for establishing a hydrogen economy, finds new report published this month.
The UK city has set its sights on becoming a centre of excellence for future fuel technologies, and hydrogen could deliver decarbonisation, green growth and skills development benefits.
In October 2020, Derby City Council unveiled plans to use the city’s advanced manufacturing expertise to revolutionise the way low-carbon energy is used, meaning Derby’s businesses, transport and homes could be powered by hydrogen in the future.
