Dana has announced it has debuted its metallic bipolar plates for hydrogen electrolysers at the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Europe fair taking place at Hanover Messe this week (April 17-21).
The company claims the steel or titanium plates maximise the performance and accelerate the commercialisation of proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers to produce hydrogen fuel.
The plates improve stack efficiency through better flow field design and reduced electrical losses, also featuring integrated modelled sealing to prevent permeability at operating pressures of up to 50 bar.
