In another important step on the way to series production of fuel cell systems, Daimler Truck has established Daimler Truck Fuel Cell, bringing together all of the group’s fuel cell activities.
Daimler Truck and Volvo Group established a new joint venture in April for the development, production and commercialisation of fuel cell systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and other applications such as stationary use.
In a statement, Daimler said Daimler Truck Fuel Cell is later to transition into this planned joint venture and Volvo Group will acquire 50% of the company for this purpose.
