CWP Global joins 600MW Angola green hydrogen project

CWP Global has joined Angolan and German players to develop a 600MW green hydrogen project in Angola.

Expected to be the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa, the project – currently under development by Angola’s state-owned oil and gas company, Sonangol, in partnership with German engineering firms Conjuncta and Gauff – is set to produce green ammonia.

Phase one of the development is expected to reach 400,000 tonnes of green ammonia production per year, with capacity increased in subsequent phases.
