A collaboration to advance the development of zero-emission mining haul trucks using hydrogen fuel cells was announced on Tuesday (June 28) by Cummins and Komatsu.
The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with intentions of developing zero emission technologies, including hydrogen fuel cells, to clean up the mining industry.
In 2021, Komatsu set out to develop its power agnostic truck concept that can run on a variety of power sources including battery and hydrogen.
