BalticSeaH2 will build the ‘first significant’ cross-border hydrogen valley in Europe between Finland and Estonia.
The goal is to create an integrated hydrogen economy around the Baltic Sea, enabling self-sufficient energy and minimising carbon emissions from different industries, with the necessary infrastructure, such as gas pipelines and electricity grids, already existing in the Gulf of Finland.
The project includes 40 partners from nine Baltic Sea area countries and will combine local areas into a broader valley to support creating an integrated, interregional hydrogen economy.
