Bremen, Germany-based aviation start-up, EVIA AERO has ordered five additional hydrogen fuel cell conversion kits from Cranfield Aerospace Solutions (CAeS), taking the total to 15.
Building off an initial Letter of Intent (LoI), the hydrogen conversion kits will be used for the nine-seat Britten Norman Islander aircraft, the recent additions compliment a separate LoI for the supply of 10 conversion kits for 19-seater aircrafts.
H2 View understands the kits for larger aircraft will be based on scale-up version of CAeS’ nine-seater specific modification kit, which will see collaboration between EVIA AERO and CAeS on the development of performance specifications and on maintenance requirements.
