Clean Power Hydrogen’s (CPH2) membrane-free electrolyser (MFE) has completed its functional test of the Programme Logic Control (PLC).
The MFE110 completed the test for Northern Ireland Water, witnessed by contractor Legan MEICA Limited and it can now progress to the final stages.
The PLC represents the coded programme which automatically operates the MFE110 including shutdown – an important safety feature that originally caused the pausing of the MFE110 Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) last year (2023).
With the FAT now progressing to its final stages, it will represent the first customer acceptance and validation of CPH2’s scaled electrolyser technology. The PLC can also be used for the company’s 1MW system, the MFE220.
