Construction of German-based Svevind’s $50bn green hydrogen project in Kazakhstan has started.
Seeing participation from German Federal President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, a test drilling ceremony was held yesterday (June 21) as part of the construction.
The project is planning to build 40GW of wind and solar production capacity to facilitate the production of up to two million tonnes of green hydrogen or 11 million tonnes of green ammonia per year.
