The population of Colorado can expect to see a more zero emission vehicles, such as hydrogen fuel cell cars, on the roads due to a collaborative effort between automakers and state officials.
The auto industry and the Polis administration have both filed a joint alternative regulatory proposal to implement the California Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) regulation in Colorado, helping the adoption of the alternative fuel vehicles. The filling will be considered in August.
California’s Zero Emission Vehicle Programme requires manufacturers to produce, deliver and sell a certain number of zero emission vehicles.
These zero emission vehicles include hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles, battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
