Coca-Cola to trial hydrogen-powered supply operations

Coca-Cola is set to trial a hydrogen-fuelled long-haul truck as part of its supply operations, as part of a project with Toyota and Air Liquide.

Toyota has joined the two companies in testing a heavy-duty truck, which boasts a fuel cell system and is powered by green hydrogen produced and supplied by Air Liquide.

A statement released by Toyota read, “The collaboration highlights the significance of concurrent development of both vehicles and infrastructure to help foster a more sustainable society.”

Eric Desbonnets, Vice-President Paris 2024 Operations at Coca-Cola, said, “We want to learn from this experience as we continue to work towards reducing our carbon footprint.”
