Hydrogen engine technology joint venture (JV) JPNH2YDRO has opened a new R&D centre in Japan to advance internal combustion engine (ICE) development.
Equipped with an engine test bench and hydrogen refuelling station for ships, the CMB.TECH, Tsuneishi Facilities & Craft and Kambara Kisen JV site will focus on developing hydrogen engines for ships and heavy-duty road vehicles.
Once fully developed, the engines will be installed into Tsuneishi vessels, the JV said.
