Cipher Neutron will design and develop two 250kW anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyser stacks for Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Canada.
Under an Advanced Contract Award Notification (ACAN), Cipher Neutron will begin developments in Q4 (2024) and provide an AEM system that can meet the research and operational needs of SFU.
SFU’s Hydrogen Hub is aiming to investigate and validate AEM technology at the 250kW – 1MW scale, which, H2 View understands, is a critical design window that enables scaling cost advantages for green hydrogen production.
Together, the two companies want to enable the scaling of low-cost hydrogen production via AEM electrolyser technologies.
