Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a green hydrogen project.
Through CIP’s Growth Market Funds II and Energy Transistion Fund I (ETF I), its project Helax Istmo has agreed to a MoU with the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT) and Mexico’s national Ministry of Navy, the Secretaría de Marina (Semar).
Under the MoU, the three parties will collaborate on the development of a large-scale, renewable energy project in Oaxaca, Mexico. Helax Istmo is expected to produce green hydrogen and green maritime fuels, which will contribute to Mexico’s sustainable development goals and the decarbonisation of the shipping industry globally.
