Chinese electrolyser OEM anticipates surging non-domestic demand by 2025

A Chinese electrolyser manufacturer has told H2 View it expects its non-domestic market to overtake demand in China by next year.

Hygreen Energy was launched last month as a repositioned, global-facing company born in 2007 as Beijing SinoHy Energy Co., aiming to secure a place as a “leading” electrolyser original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Currently holding 2GW of annual production capacity from a facility in Shandong, China, Hygreen plans to increase that to 5GW in 2025, covering alkaline and PEM technologies – with a view of also commercialising AEM systems.
