The Chemours Company and TC Energy have signed an agreement for the potential development of two electrolysis-based hydrogen production facilities in West Virginia, US.
Today (April 19), the companies said the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will see them explore developing the facilities at or near Chemours’ Washington Works and Belle manufacturing sites.
Under the MoU, a non-binding offtake agreement for hydrogen produced from the sites would be executed, supporting Chemours’ demand at its nearby facilities, while excess hydrogen would be stored and made available for shipping to other users.
