Chart Industries will provide hydrogen compression solutions to support the €657m ($715m) expansion of Repsol’s Sines industrial complex in Portugal.
Two diaphragm compressors will be supplied by the US cryogenic manufacturer, which will ensure “reliable, contamination-free, high-pressure hydrogen delivery for the process.”
Repsol wants to achieve 100% recyclable, high-value materials from two new polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (LPE) plants in Sines. The upgraded facility will utilise solar-powered green electrolytic hydrogen to align with its Net Zero commitments.
