Chart Industries has partnered with LNG shipper GasLog to develop commercial-scale liquid hydrogen supply chains between the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Aiming to build on GasLog’s experience in gas shipping and Chart’s cryogenic expertise, the pair aim to support GasLog in developing a commercial-scale liquid hydrogen supply chain from Middle Eastern export markets to European and Asian destinations.
The Middle East has been steadily positioning itself renew its energy exporting role with clean hydrogen. Last year (2023), the UAE approved its national hydrogen strategy, saying it planned to position the nation as a key producer and exporter over the next eight years.
