Cerulean Winds is one step closer to its goal of a 200-turbine floating wind and hydrogen development in the North Sea, having today (July 19) inked an agreement with px Group for the project.
Through its ambitious plans, Cerulean Winds hopes to have generate 3GWh of power, enough to electrify the majority of offshore facilities, reducing CO2 emissions by more than half from 2025. An excess of 1.5GWh of power would be diverted to onshore green hydrogen plants.
Now part of such development, px Group will be responsible for lease and ownership arrangements for the sites, located in the North of England, Northeast Scotland and on Shetland, and for obtaining planning permissions and permitting.
