Carlton Power’s three projects across the UK have been selected as part of the UK Government’s first £2bn ($2.5bn) Hydrogen Allocation Round (HAR1).
The projects, located at Trafford, Greater Manchester, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, and Langage, near Plymouth, total 55MW of capacity and an investment of £100m ($127m).
The three projects have been awarded financial contracts for each of the schemes from the UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and are subject to reaching financial investment decision (FID) in early 2024, entering commercial operations within two years.
