Capacity Trucks launches zero-emission hydrogen-powered truck

Capacity Trucks is to launch a zero-emissions hydrogen fuel cell electric truck.  

The US-based company will debut the truck at the upcoming Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) annual meeting, at the ACT Expo in Anaheim, California.  

The vehicle, said to be capable of handling GCVWR of up to 180,000lbs,  is designed and expected to operate for at least one full shift before refuelling. The company claims it can be refuelled in as little as 15 minutes,  the same time it takes to refuel a traditional diesel truck. Wes Downing, Vice President and General Manager of Capacity Trucks, said it drew on nearly 50 years’ industry experience in designing the environmentally friendly vehicle.
