Day & Ross, a subsidiary of Ottaway Motor Express, has began a six-month pilot project with KarbonKeel to trial dynaCERT’s HydraGEN™ carbon emission reduction technology.
The system is designed to both reduce energy consumption and fuel emissions by adding hydrogen to the engine airflow, which improves combustion by acting as a catalyst to speed up reaction time.
Two trucks taking part in the pilot project have been installed with devices to measure both carbon emissions and fuel efficiency over the course of the programme to provide a solid end result.
“As a transportation company, Day & Ross relies on traditional combustible fuels and is striving to find new and cleaner alternatives,” said Bill Doherty, CEO of Day & Ross.
