Canada’s Port of Argentia and Hamburg Port Authority, Germany, have announced plans to collaborate on the export and import of green hydrogen from Canada to Germany.
Under a Letter of Intent (LoI), the Newfoundland and Labrador-based port will look to facilitate exports of locally produced green hydrogen derivatives to Hamburg.
Signed on Monday (March 18), the LoI came the same day as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Canadian and German Governments to explore formalising hydrogen sales between the two nations.
