California is $300m away from a sustainable light-duty hydrogen mobility market, CaFCP explains to H2 View’s North American Virtual Hydrogen Summit

Bill Elrick, Executive Director of the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP), today (Oct 19) revealed that the group will transition to a national non-profit organisation as he unveiled that California is $300m away from attaining a sustainable hydrogen light-duty market.

Discussing how close California is in attaining a self-sufficient market for light-duty hydrogen vehicles, Elrick told the H2 View event, “About $300 more in funding, the state could get the light duty hydrogen market sustainable by the end of the decade.

“I’m pretty certain this is the first identified pathway to a sustainable ZEV market in the transportation system on road transportation system in the world. I’m certain it will not be the last.”
