Burckhardt Compression has entered into a new partnership with Shell New Energies that will see the development of a compressor system capable of refuelling hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles.
The two companies will partner to develop a non-lube high-pressure hydrogen compressor with Burckhardt constructing a new test facility in Winterthur, Switzerland, to explore heavy-duty refuelling technologies.
