A new green hydrogen generation plant is set to be developed by Furnas in Itumbiara, Brazil, to bolster the nation’s hydrogen capabilities.
Brazil holds significant potential in generating green hydrogen due to the country’s unique natural resources, such as solar and wind energy, that makes it as prime location for a green hydrogen production plant.

With an investment of R$45m ($8m), the partnership between Eletrobas Furnas, Base-Energia Sustentável and PV Solar will produce a hydrogen project that, in the first stage, will contain a 1000kWp photovoltaic plant.
