UK-based Bramble Energy says its printed circuit board fuel cell (PCBFC™) technology offers stack costs 10 times lower than existing technology.
In a new whitepaper, the company says its solution can allow it to produce stacks at $100/kW and has suggested it could reach costs as low as $60/kW as a result of scale.
At the core of Bramble’s PCBFC is a standard PCB laminate which serves as a bipolar plate. Widely used across the PCB industry, the laminate is readily available and accessible for small-scale production and prototyping.
