bp takes FID on 100MW Lingen green hydrogen plant, commissioning set for 2027

bp has taken the final investment decision (FID) to build a 100MW green hydrogen plant at its refinery in Lingen Germany.

Supported by funding from the Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) programme, the plant could produce up to 11,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year, for use in bp’s own refineries and other industrial customers in the region.

The project will also be connected to Germany’s planned 9,040km hydrogen core network.
