bp has announced it will join the H2Accelerate collaboration which is aiming to speed up the deployment of low carbon hydrogen for use in European trucks.
As part of the H2Accelerate group, bp will act as a key future infrastructure provider for heavy-duty hydrogen vehicles, supporting efforts to develop hydrogen refuelling infrastructure and advocate for the policy needed to upscale the European hydrogen freight ecosystem.
bp is aiming to become a Net Zero company by 2050 or sooner and will invest into building infrastructure to support transport across major road networks in mainland Europe and the UK by 2030.
