Bosch has today (July 13) announced it has begun the volume production of its fuel cell power modules as it makes its way “into the hydrogen age,” targeting €5bn ($5.5bn) of hydrogen technology sales by 2030.
The German multinational will produce the modules at its Stuttgart-Feuerbach plant which will be supplied to US-based hydrogen truck manufacturer Nikola Corporation – which will serve as pilot customer, utilising the fuel cells in its Class 8 trucks.
It comes as Bosch says it plans to generate sales of around €5bn with its hydrogen technology across the value chain.
