BOC UK and Ireland has announced it will supply hydrogen to the six selected projects of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s (DESNZ) industrial fuel switching (IFS) demonstration.
Hydrogen has proved its feasibility as a low-carbon alternative in the previous round of the competition and BOC will now support the demonstration of fuel switch solutions for industrial processes on further industrial sites.
The demonstrations represent a progression from the work shown in original ISF trials, where BOC delivered large scale hydrogen fuel switching demonstrations for projects with NSG Pilkington, Tarmac, and Hanson and Unilever.
