Battolyser Systems CEO: Our alkaline tech can outperform PEM in hydrogen flexibility

Battolyser Systems’ novel electrode design adds flexibility to alkaline electrolysis that could eclipse the potential of PEM hydrogen production, according to CEO Mattijs Slee.

The Dutch firm’s offering is based on traditional pressurised alkaline technology, with a significant twist that is slated to radically improve flexibility with intermittent renewable energy supply.

While PEM electrolysers have long been hailed as the flexible alternative to alkaline systems, Slee believes the Battolyser® technology goes even further.
