Barcelona orders eight hydrogen buses

Eight hydrogen-powered buses have been purchased for operation on Barcelona’s roads.

Portuguese bus manufacturer Caetno Bus will supply the H2 City Gold LHD buses in 2021 for €6.4m.

The technological core of each vehicle will be a 60KW fuel cell from Toyota. The motorisation and electric components will be provided by Siemens.

Ordered by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), acquisition is part of the company’s effort to make its fleet more modern and environmentally friendly.
