Avolon agrees to support Airbus in hydrogen aircraft commercialisation

Avolon will support the development of Airbus’ ZEROe Project after signing an agreement at Farnborough Airshow in the UK.

The two companies are set to investigate how hydrogen-powered aircraft could be financed and commercialised, and how they might be supported by a leasing business model. As a “leading global aviation finance company,” Avolon will help Airbus in exploring this.

H2 View understands that Avolon has ambitions to boast a fleet comprising of 75% new technology, lower emissions aircraft by the end of next year (2025).
