Australia’s first public hydrogen station nears completion

The electrolyser for Australia’s first public hydrogen refuelling station was lifted into place last week.

Built and operated by ActewAGL, ENGV delivered the electrolyser, ready for installation and commissioning in the near future.

Located in Canberra, the hydrogen refuelling station, which includes a Nel PEM electrolyser and PDC Machines compression and refuelling solution, will refuel up to 20 hydrogen cars per week and is designed with future expansion capabilities to accommodate an evolving Australian hydrogen mobility market.

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government will be one of the first customers to use the station with its fleet of 20 Hyundai Nexo hydrogen vehicles.
