With the Australian Labor Party recently revealing its Powering Australia plan, which features the use of hydrogen, the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC) has welcomed its integration in a statement today (Dec 6).
In targeting an emissions reduction of 40% by 2030 over 2005 levels, hydrogen has been cited as a key zero-emission resource that will enable the wider decarbonisation by the Labor group.
Despite outlining various positive policies that support the wider use of hydrogen and its production through electrolysers, the Australian Hydrogen Council believe more detail will be required as to how it will work.
