Australia is set to export hydrogen to Japan as part of the $150m Australian Clean Hydrogen Trade Program (ACHTP) that aims to generate hydrogen supply chain projects overseas.
It is expected that, through this programme, it will help deliver on Australia’s commitment to reducing emissions by working with other countries to reduce the cost of clean energies.
In doing so, market demand has been created for hydrogen in addition to strong ties with Japan – a key hydrogen market player that could now increase the amount of external investment in hydrogen production in Australia.
